Our responsibility, our sustainable commitment.

We are aware of our responsibility for the sustainable development of our operations. Together with you, we take a closer look at how ecologically compatible, resource-saving and environmentally friendly we currently operate. We strive to continuously improve with regard to meaningful sustainability so that our grandchildren can still travel and experience our destination in its fascinating beauty and diversity.

To the sustainable corporate culture.

Box 8

Nature and countryside

Our teams work paper smart and use digital forms to best reduce our paper consumption and, if possible, eliminate it. Personalised room cleaning is available via our Hotel app so that the resources used harmonise with your needs. We want to make our guests’ time and stay in the Wellness- & Spa-Hotel as plastic-free as possible: laundry bags, slippers, drinking straws and other products are made of recyclable or compostable materials. Strict separation of waste and correct recycling is a matter of course for us.

Box 4

Mobility

We want to encourage our guests to take advantage of the excellent connections provided by public transport. The “BEATUS” bus stop is right in front of the Hotel, as is the landing for boat services. We support the development of the Guest Card (included in the room price), which can be used on several bus lines in the region of Lake Thun.

Box 5

People and culture

We sponsor various local associations. We are a proud partner of FC Thun. We engage actively with the tourism associations and work groups to protect local values and culture.

Box 6

Working conditions and equal opportunities

The salary comparison performed by GIG showed there was no significant difference between men and women in our company.

Box 7

Workplace and collaborations

Where possible, we use regional, national and seasonal products. We prioritise local trade partners. 100% of our fish come from Switzerland. The provision of balanced vegan and vegetarian culinary options is important to us. The spring water we offer our guests comes from Merligen. We provide our own staff 24 rooms in the BEATUS. This accommodation is walking distance from the Hotel. Together with our partner Hotel ERMITAGE, we are currently training 17 apprentices, who are completing their education in local institutions. We also employ 10 team members with residency permits F and S.

Box 9

Energy and climate

A lake water pump will heat and cool the BEATUS from autumn. The Hotel further sets goals on lowering energy consumption and contributes to peak period optimisation. We use environmentally friendly cleaning agents to help reduce pollution.
