  • 22 to 25 June 2023

    Jacqueline Heinzmann -
Yoga instructor for Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, fascias

Yoga, mindfulness, meditation and health – these topics have been with me my whole life. As a trained shiatsu therapist, teacher and yoga instructor, the person and their well-being concern me greatly. In my yoga classes, I place great value on being able to respond to the needs of different people. I want to share how to use yoga to relearn who you are.

During this yoga weekend, we will explore dynamic Vinyasa Flow Yoga as well as Yin Yoga. We begin the mornings with meditation accompanied by the sounds of the mountainside, Pranayama and activating Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Elements of fascia therapy are essential here for relieving tension and blockages. In the later afternoon we practice slow, deep, restful Yin Yoga. Let me invite you on a fantastic journey of yoga and being together.

    Jenny Weibull -
Instructor for Asthanga Yoga & Meditative Yoga

For me, yoga is a key for freeing myself from unpleasant thoughts and emotions. Given all the challenges we face every day, it is very calming when we find something that helps us keep our inner balance and create new energy. In my yoga classes, I pay close attention to the participants and sense which way the class should develop. Each guest should be able to be wholly their true self in order to get in touch with themself. To let go of the old and create new inner strength.

We begin with a dynamic, energetically activated and balanced technique and open our hearts, shoulders and hips for a wonderfully agreeable and open body awareness. In the evenings we practice mild Hatha and Yin to close the day with peace and composure. Our mantra is “Time to be”.

    Maria Grazia Stomeo -
Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Life Coach

I am fascinated by life, people, connections and nature. I respect and love change and I feel compelled to develop further and open myself up to love. Yoga helps me each and every day.

You can expect wonderful days of being, with yoga, meditation and moments of reflection and deep relaxation. In the mornings, we will devote ourselves to powerful, purifying Vinyasa Flow sequences with a focus on turns and opening our hearts to support “letting go” and “being open” to new things. The evening hours will be restful and reflective. We will look deep within, where strength, tranquillity and love reign. These intense moments will teach us to be observant, to clarify, to regain our energy and to trust in ourselves and in life.

    Matthias Brun -
Yoga & meditation instructor, owner of AWARE YOGA

I teach a holistic yoga and meditation with a lot of humour and understanding in workshops, retreats and further education and work with these methods for an optimal attitude towards life. The focus of my teaching is therefore on a healthy yoga and meditation practice suitable for everyday life, which lovingly picks up every person, every mind and every body where they are.

In this retreat we dive mindfully into the magical world of body and mind. In the recognition of the moment lies great joy, energy and a living being. And with this we gain a great motivation to be free. To be free from the shackles of the mind, to celebrate life in the moment.

    Martha Bartel -
Sivananda Yoga teacher and certified yoga teacher

I am a trained translator, nurse, Sivananda Yoga teacher and certified yoga teacher of the Swiss Yoga University. An important focus of my teaching is health, in order to promote your resources and to pick you up where you are at the moment. Yoga and meditation have been with me for about 20 years.

On this extended weekend I offer meditations, breathing exercises and yoga postures for digestion, detoxification and releasing deep core tensions. The morning practice is derived from Hatha yoga, simultaneously strengthening and meditative combined with gentle flowing movements. So that you can really get into your inner and outer yoga flow. In the afternoon practice we dive even deeper into perception with additional yin yoga exercises in lying and sitting, holding these for longer periods of time.

Yoga

The word «Yoga» roughly translates to uniting body and soul through deep concentration and becoming one with one's self. A session includes bodily movements, breathing techniques, concentration exercises and meditation. The goal is to improve vitality, and at the same time strive towards a posture of inner peace.

Hatha Yoga

The origins of Hatha Yoga can be traced back to the middle ages (to the 15th century AD) in India. It was formed from the philosophical and religious currents of so-called Tantrism. Hatha Yoga means «yoga of strength» and is based on the idea of strengthening the body in order to receive the power of awakened consciousness. Physical exercises, breathing and meditation are employed to bring body and mind into harmony. The methods and practices of Hatha Yoga form the foundation for the majority of modern yoga types.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a mix of dynamic and powerful movements, correct alignment, and individually tailored poses (variants). Each breath flows in sync and in rhythm with the body, such that the entire human organism is in flow. Whether the tempo of a Vinyasa class is slow or more rapid, if it includes meditation or singing, is dependant upon the instructor. If you like to get loose and move creatively, then Vinyasa Flow Yoga is likely right for you.

Yin/Yang Yoga

During Yin & Yang Yoga, we learn to balance our body and soul. Yang stands for principles of being active and movement. Using dynamic yoga and sun salutations, we activate our entire circulatory systems and strengthen our muscles, joints and ligaments. Yin stands for dedication and peace. In Yin Yoga, we hold poses for longer and work more deeply in the body’s layers, the fascia. This is a deeply intimate and meditative form of yoga connected with the activation of energy flow along the meridians.

Meditation

Meditation is wonderfully suited to helping us counteract the hectic effects of time. We can find strength in peaceful moments to help us better confront the challenges of everyday life with a smile. Meditation exercises help us to calm our spirits and to collect ourselves.
