Chan Mi Gong ("Back Qigong") 
The Light of the Spine

Chan Mi Gong is based on ancient practice traditions of Chinese Buddhism, with the spine serving as the central energy channel and the heart of the practice. The method is based on four fundamental exercises, involving gentle, wave-like movements of the spine. These movements promote the mobility of the vertebrae and joints throughout the body. Chan Mi Gong connects stillness with movement and movement with stillness.

Perception is anchored in the heart, while the movements are supported by the breath. With a focused inner gaze, Qi is guided, and the movements are consciously observed. Tensions and blockages in the body are released from the inside out through these gentle movements, and spinal discomfort is alleviated. The healing effect on the musculoskeletal system is palpable, and the energy begins to flow freely.

I enjoy delving into the essence of things. It’s part of my nature as a seeker – the search for the core of life, the point where everything converges. This is how I discovered the ancient practice of Qigong, whose central element is the spine with its flowing movements. We realign ourselves and release what is old. It’s an inner journey – layer by layer, towards the inner light. Through the spine, the entire body and its systems are interconnected, leading to a holistic experience. Chan Mi Gong has opened up new perspectives for me about myself and life.

* The training units take place at 08:00, 11:00 and 17:00. It is also possible only to join the morning or evening lessons at 08:00 or 17:00. 

** Programmes are subject to change. Explanations are provided at the beginning of the retreat. All meals can be taken as a group on request. There is time each afternoon for wellness, excursions, massages and treatments in the hotel.
